Silverado Canyon Question

I'm thinking of taking the family to Silverado Canyon (OC) next week. I searched and can't find the directions someone posted a while back.

Anyone have good directions or any advise. I'm just going to drive the dirt roads and see how far back we can go with 2wd. Anything else to do in that area?

Eons ago when I used to live down that way, I swore there was a very popular restaurant on Santiago Canyon road, near Silverado Canyon Road. Always full of bikers and 4wd trucks. Can't find anything on google maps, but that was before 261 and 241 even existed as numbered roads.
