Sold my Taco.

Good bye y'all. Sold my Tacoma. Lost only 3K in depreciation in 2 years.
Hurt like dickens, but with the economy in the tank, and the prospects of $6 a gallon gas (thanks to cap and tax bill ) made me not to want to have a car payment right now. We are now a one car family.

I miss the truck already. Been looking at used econo boxes, but so far cannot find anything anything I can tolerate and pay cash.

Maybe 'Yota will finally bring the D4D diesel to the States in a few years. If it does, I will be buying another Taco. Maybe they'll even downsize truck a bit, to the pre-2005 size.

Thanks for all of your help over the last few years.

Been there, done that. Sold our 2nd vehicle back in 2001 and was a one-car family until we sold our house and I bought the Taco. It's definitely tough to coordinate schedules with only one vehicle knowing that person is stranded until you return.

With the new gas mileage requirements taking effect in 2016, you'll be back. You can look forward to purchasing a Taco with a 4 cyl turbo.
