Need buying advice!

I have been driving toyota trucks for 27 years, and am about to buy my first Tacoma. I cannot afford a brand new one, but have found two preowned Tacomas with low mileage. I can't decide which to buy!

Both of my trucks have been manual transmission, manual doors, manual windows, and manual steering. i have had o problem with any of that, but my friend reminded me that I ain't getting any younger.

Here are the two trucks that are avaiable:
09 Tacoma Access 2WD l4 AT
Power steering, brakes, windows, doors.
10K miles
Clear carfax report
$19K, around $22K out the door

08 Tacoma Prerunner Access 2WD l4 MT
Power steering, brakes
6K miles
One minor report involving one tail light crack, but it has been replaced
$16,900, $18,500 out the door

What is the difference between a regular Tacoma and a prerunner?
Does MT hold up better?
Are there more problems down the road with Power windows and doors?
Which one should I get????

prerunner is lifted up like a 4x4 but it us just a 2wd. (id get that cause I like seeing down the road when driving... plus its cheaper).

You could go all the way back to 2005 in your search to get this same body style. the 09 2wd sounds expensive to me.

no problems w/ pwr locks that i know of.

Well, I went and test drove both trucks. The 09 was really nice, but the salesman would not give me a bottom line price! He was a pressure salesman, and i had to get kinda mean to get him to let me make an out the door offer, and even then, I had very little confidence that he wouldn't stick me with a few thousand more charges in the end! Then he tried to trick me into signing a purchase agreement!

So I insisted on going to see the other truck, and OMG! I now know the difference between the Prerunner and the regular! This truck is my dream truck! It sits really high, and has step sides, and the previous owner installed fog lights. It rides really well, and the salesman gave me a no haggle out the door price that I can manage. It is just a hunk a truck, and I am in love!

I decided after seeing this truck, that if switching to automatic is what I should do because I am getting older, I ain't ready! LOL! Another friend told me to get the one that I will have the most fun in. I think its the prerunner.
