TN's forums have been locking up my browser for about a week now. I like TN and would like to hang around. I sent an email to the webmaster but received no response.
Am I the only member this is happening to?

If you're on Flash Player 10 but haven't updated it in a while, try that. The early versions of 10 cause IE7 to lock up when they encounter certain things in an animation. The problem isn't the forum itself, but the Flash advertising banners.

mine was freezing too. has been doing it for a couple of days. i was gonna make a thread too, but figured someone else would or send an email. seems to be working fine now tho.
The issue has been reported and Don with autoforums has been working hard to resolve the issue for several days, but where it is a sporadic problem it is harder to diagnose and fix.
I am surprised it took so long to have a thread about it come up...
Since my "upgrade" to IE8 I have to run in compatibility mode to come here.
That doesn't surprise me. I had to spend at least an hour or more modifying my wife's photography business website because IE8 was causing the pictures set as hyperlinks to jump when the cursor went over them. On the other hand, IE8 fixed a problem that earlier versions had on one of my coldfusion pages at work. One step forward...one step back. Someday they'll get it right.
For those considering the differences between IE7, IE8, and Firefox, you'll find that it appears the pages will load a little faster in IE8 vs IE7 except it will make you wait until the page almost finishes loading before you can click on a link to go to a new page (this is evident if you have comcast and want to go to your e-mail). Firefox displays the page as it loads and allows you to click on anything you want without waiting. I've timed IE vs Firefox when loading my comcast.net page: 9 seconds for IE7, 6 seconds for IE8, 1 second for Firefox. So there's your non-scientific facts about the speed of each.

Yep, using Firefox fixes it. It's very fast too. Thanks. I was hesitant to admit I was still using IE6. Sometimes old habits are hard to break. I had my IE6 heavily tweaked to do exactly what I wanted and never could get later versions to be that way. Now to figure out how to get the google toolbar to work with Firefox.
