That is awesome!

If you are stupid enough to need this recall, you deserve this "fix"

You gotta be frikin kidding me! If they want to make it so that you can't move the floormat, why not just zip screw it to the floor, it would be just as ugly!

I'll refuse that fix....

It's just a temporary fix. Since they're gonna bore two holes in it for the cable tie you know we're getting a new redesigned floor mat.

+1. It is a temporary fix. Everyone just relax. Toyota is not use to handling recalls, that's why I bought one.

I will admit, it looks like ass. Like people have said at least use a black tie wrap. But shit, this problem that is not even a problem will cost them millions to fix. And in this economy money is tight everywhere, especially the car business. While a permanent fix is in the works and to make sure no one else sues our ass what is the cheapest most effective way to temporarily fix the problem? A tie wrap that probably cost them 1/2 of a cent and 5 minutes of a techs time. I would say that it is the cheapest most effective way to TEMPORARILY solve this "problem."

Just curious, my truck has floor mat hooks on both the drivers and passenger side. is this only on certain models or years?

I'm thinking yes because my truck is an '06 and I only have the mat hooks on the driver side.
