Upsurge in Problem Threads - Reliability on Decline, Increased Scrutiny, or Both??

Now we all know about recent events in the news etc. with Toyota. Have these national, or possibly global issues caused us to now examine our vehicles under a microscope? Or is this a sign of more to come, and the Toyota name is slowly eroding? Perhaps a little of both? Maybe you have an entirely different view. Well, what is it? Because it seems to me the percentage of problem-related threads is certainly on the incline, and not just here.

I've had a TON of serious issues with my truck since feb of 08 when i bought it...it now has over 65oookm on it.

funny thing is....I haven't had a single issue since the recalls started haha.

2 clutch assy's
1 transmission
1 shift lever
2 charcoal canisters
1 4x4 switch
1 diff lock actuator
1 chrome rear bumper (rusted in 1oookm)
1 tailgate (tsb not honored by toyota because....well im not sure lol)
