Question TPMS and AR Outlaw II rims

Have a 2010 dbl cab taco. Have some alloy rims that I kept off my 03 Taco 4dbl cab and want to use them on my 2010. Same tire size on both trucks.

Townfair tire is telling me that the TPMS on my steel rims will leak if I transfer them the AR Outlaw II alloy rims. Anyone have any experience with changing from steel to aftermarket rims and the TPMS?

They are telling me that I need aftermarket TPMS valves with different o-rings. I then noticed that Toyota sells two types. One for steel and one for alloy.

A lot of people will say a lot of things to get you to buy something. When it comes down to it, if your sensors will physically fit onto the aluminum rims, a nice blob of silicon, a thicker o-ring, grease, etc., can be used to seal it.

Too many people will make up nonsense because they're scammers, too lazy, or too stupid to think it through so it will work right. Auto mechanics used to actually fix things. Now all they do is replace parts.
