anti-virus...... sounds like you're using a bad operating system.
Have you considered upgrading to Linux?
PS: Its FREE, but NOT a case of "you get what you pay for". The economics behind it are just very different. Globally, more development resources get put into Linux every year than MS since the beginning of time.

The forums are clean. You might try dumping your browser cache and cookies, and if you're running any flavor of Windows then dumping system restore is an absolute if you do any trouble shooting. Like Reaper said, we do have ads that run and some of them can be cumbersome, but that is the price for something being free. If you get a lot of information and help out of this site you can always purchase a Supreme membership that turns off all those ads as one of the benefits of membership.

Windows was alway a pain in the ass. Virus this and that ect. I switched to linux for a few years and loved it. I bought a Mac last year and have been very happy and virus free.

you could run firefox with ad block plus. I haven 't seen ads in years..... but I leave them on for TN to support the site
