2004 or 2005?

Trying to decide on whether to go with a 2004 or 2005 4x4 Tacoma doublecab. I can get a 2004 for about 1500 less. I only tow a utility trailer/ATV so the 4.0L doesn't really buy me anything that I can see. Fuel mileage is comparable. Any opions/advise is appreciated.

I would suspect that at the end of the model year you could do better than 1500 difference if you can find the model you want. The extra bucks could go to aftermarket add-ons. At any rate, my preference is to save a few bucks where I can. The '04 will be a bit less on insurance, too.

Do you realize you just responded to a 3-year old post?

I was following the forum etiquette and using the search feature. Guess I should be looking at the date field too.

What about in cab space? If you need that, then I'd def go with the 05. Plus the 05 has a bit more power without sacrificing mpg. 05 is going to be a little more comfortable than the 04.
