Your right man. Last night on the way home the cel came on. This morning I pulled out a system too lean code. I Tested the MAF (haynes manual) and wasnt within range. I also moved the top of the airbox and the car stutterd slightly. Moving the cables behind the MAF sensor also caused stutter in the car. So I went to Kendall Toyota to have it checked out and confirm it was indeed the MAF and it was the culprit. It pays off to have gotten the Extended warranty because The MAF is 158 dollars alone. Now the car accelerates normal On full throttle full power on 75% throttle 75% power.
Im getting regrets now about the KNN in my car. I highly do doubt the oil from the KNN damaged the MAF. There'sno residue of oil anywhere in the airbox or in the intake tube, and the filter has never been washed/ Reoiled. I do not plan in washing it after 30k il throw it out and buy a new one. Also KNN has a statement in theyr website stating about such concern. What do you guys think?
