FS: URD Y-pipe

05+ Tacoma

Up for grabs is a URD y-pipe. It cost 500+change to get it here, will sell for 400, shipped. I already have it mostly wrapped with header wrap ( I had to take some of it off to remove the pipe from the truck). I only ran it for 25 miles then took it back off.

I figured I would get that question pretty quick. At the risk of getting flamed, I will respond in a PM.

you should not worry about getting flamed.

I also would like to know the reason you decided to take it off.

So be it....

I got it to reduce some back-pressure by removing one of the cat's. And I did not like the squish pipe. After I put it on, I felt no increase in the butt-dyno (hp) and I really did not like the new cross-over location. It now crosses between the first and second cross-members instead of behind the second (it seems more vulnerable there, to me). Since my truck is stock with only a aFe CAI, with no headers or other mods, it really is not doing me any good. Also, after I took my stock pipe off, I noticed that on the driver's side, they up-sized the pipe, so that when they squished it, it still had the same flow volume. As a side bar, there is no noticeable sound difference.

I even will throw in the smaller donut gasket that mates the collector to the rest of the exhaust pipe (that goes back to the muffler). URD does not include nor offer it and it is smaller that the stock one. I had to do a little leg work on that one.

I'd so buy it, but my funds have been dwindled from summer school, and an expensive vacation. Bump for this one.

It's a part of your exhaust. It connects your headers to your exhaust. It's in the shape of a "Y", that's why it's call a y pipe. Check it out here:
