Well i have a double din pioneer dvd I believe it was the P4000 not sure but i bypassed it by getting a toggle switch. You hook up the e-brake wire up to one side of the switch and hook a grounded wire to another. Im not saying i did this but um i saw a buddy do it. Yeah it was a buddy lol. You will have to swich the toggle off and on every time you get in your car for it to come on.
The P4100 is only a month old so there's a lot of DIY info on web. I'm going with the toggle switch. I hear grounding it directly to metal doesn't work correctly. Where did you mount your toggle switch? My deck is supposed to be delivered tomorrow

i put my toggle switch in one of the three black things to the left of the steering wheel. If you have a trd offroad its where the differental switch is. Toyota prewires all their trucks with the same wires cause it saves money. I used a ground wire that im assuming would have been used for the diff as my ground. Note* if you do this make sure you use a test to verify what wires are ground and which ones are hott. Also make sure you turn you keys on to make sure the wires not an accesory. Also turn your lights on to make sure its not for that either. I hope i havent confused you
I got the HU yesterday Going to install it next week when the rest of the stuff gets here, sirius, dash kit, jbl converter. I thought mounting the switch to the switch board, but I'm thinking about mounting it in the glove compartment for an out of sight switch. But I'm not 100% sold on that idea. How hard was it to run the wire from the back of the deck to the switch board? Did you us an OEM switch? I'm trying to make the install as clean as possible. Do you have any pictures of your install?

Installed the new HU this weekend. I think it looks pretty good. DVD, iPod, Sirius all on one display is nice. The install went pretty smoothly, about 2 hours. My local car audio shop wanted $350 to install the deck. What a rip off. The picture is amazing. It was the only deck I could find with a fully viewable 7" screen. The JBL seems to of enhanced a little bit, new speakers will definately be in the future though. I got a couple 12's just laying around.
Check it out...
