I hope y'all don't mind me joining your little klatsch just to peddle something.
Here is a
Lund Interceptor bug shield (okay, the "faincy" name is "hood protector") for a 2003-2006 Toyota Tundra. Lund item number is 18441. This is a "new old stock" item; it's been removed from the box (DUH, those aren't x-ray photos!), but it has never been installed, and is in new condition. It comes complete with all the hardware, installation instructions, and a coupon for a free puppy (okay, I made up that last bit). The color is "smoke".
This isn't the cheapo acrylic low-rise model that sticks on the outside of your hood with wimpy double-stick tape, gumming up the finish. The Interceptor is a full-rise shield made of tough polycarbonate ("lexan", as it's called in the ancient Latin), that features a stand-off design that allows you to wash and polish your whole hood. It mounts to the underside of the hood with real live screws.
The decal on the shield itself says "03-04 Toyota Tundra", but that's just because it was made in 2004, and they couldn't travel forward in time and know that it would also fit the 2005 and 2006 models. So it's been sitting in a box for five years, but hey, the plastic comes from dinosaurs that have been dead for what, 100 million years, so what's another five?
Call around for a new one of these puppies (remember, it's not a cheapo acrylic, or some off-brand wannabee), and you'll find out they're $80-100. You
might find one on <ahem>-Bay for $50 or so, plus shipping. This one's yours for $40 plus shipping (if applicable).
I would only charge USPS shipping costs from Madison. For most of the US, I'm guessing it'd be about $20; there
might be an upcharge for the length of the package.
If you live in the Madison area, you can pick up this item on Madison isthmus. I
might be able to hand it off to you downtown during the work day.
