My AE95 was a japanese import but they sold them new here in New Zealand ( i put idaho in my profile for the street-cred).
I've seen a 1983 4wd drive carib and i think that might be as far back as they go.
I put 6 by 6 inch speakers in those little rear hatch doors. 6 by 9s don't quite fit. With the back door open, sound gets into the outdoors very clearly. I just stuck with the 4 inchs in the dash, and they're not too bad, but i had wanted to put 6 inchs in the doors, but no room.
I wondered about diff-lock for a while then someone on this forum answered my question about when you can use diff lock, he said his manual said it could be used at highway speeds.
Even pushing 4 wheels, the 4AFE gets me 7l per 100km, or 38 mpg, which is as good as my 2WD Honda Accord used to get.
