The Toyota Avalon is being recalled for a possible fire hazard.
The Japanese automaker has announced that it will conduct a safety recall affecting about 52,000 units of the Avalon sedan from the 2011 and 2012 model years. In the affected vehicles, cargo can potentially come in contact with subwoofer wires in the trunk and can move one of the wires out of its normal position. As a result, that wire could come in contact with the metal frame of the subwoofer, causing an intermittent short circuit.
