Lexus LS Lineup Gets Sharper F Sport Model

Quote:
Lexus is giving its new LS sedan lineup a bit of punch with the new LS F Sport model.

As the brandís flagship sedan, the Lexus LS is admittedly a bit conservative, but this new F Sport model should bring some excitement with cosmetic and performance upgrades. The LS 500 and LS 500h hybrid will both be available as F Sport models.

Engine and total system output stay the same for both models, but drivers should notice the upgrades elsewhere in the chassis, like bigger brakes and optimized chassis control system that should help the sedanís performance.

On rear-drive gas-powered LS 500 models, a new Handling Package is also available that gives the full-sized sedan variable gear ratio steering and active rear steering along with an active stabilizer and a sport-tuned air suspension.

Both the hybrid and gas-powered sedans get the big mesh grille that is a signature of F Sport models across the Lexus lineup, new 20-inch wheels, revised rocker panel and trunk moldings. The LS F Sport also gets an exclusive new color called Ultra White.

Inside, drivers are treated to a new F Sport-exclusive front seat that is more supportive, new cosmetic trim elements, a unique steering wheel and aluminum pedals.
