Toyota appears to have hit upon a novel way of unloading excess US truck and SUV supply: Send the vehicles overseas. While no firm decisions have been made, Steve St. Angelo, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, told a group of industry observers the company's full-size Tundra pickups and Sequoia SUVs could be attractive to buyers in other countries. We'd presume he's talking about African nations, Russia and Asia, places where large vehicles still command a strong following thanks to folks with lots of money to spend. Either way, it sounds like a win-win, since Toyota could take advantage of the weak dollar and keep its US factories humming while we could offload our junk on someone else for a change.
sell them here
there is all good XD
people in US get to make more
more jobs kept going
win win
woot

Well certainly not junk, more like dream machines if it weren't for the price of gas these days. On the otherhand, if things go well with the Hybrid minivan then that same technology will likely breath new life to these babies. The only difference is that Toyota will implement full hybrids than light...
so i dont think we would have room for another toyota model i dont think any other automotive manufacture has 4 model either. But aye the tundra does look nice. i keep seeing parts for them on trd.com

enough?
technically dont you have like 3 or 4 differant land cruiser pick ups,
and at least two wagons with that title.
not including the land cruiser prado?
that cute little cruiser the taco, FJ, and 4runner is based on?
I dunno, you live there not me!
and what the fraggle is a kluger? sounds like a highlander that shoots bullets
all that being said, you guys live on an island continent with an incredibly harsh environment and ants that can kill you. i would want to be as high of the ground as possible... the more SUVs the better!
lol the ants dont kill but hurt lol. i went out west a little to a friend property i saw i ant that was like 4cm long so that nearly 2 inches in usa talk. lol. the kluger is the nearest model toyota has introduced i think its meant to be the more urban 4wd/2wd, with more luxary & stylish looks and still maintaining the 7 seats.
why do you think we have bullbars??? cause the kangaroos that bounce across the road get hit, do more damage to the car then the kangaroo, apart from my friends celica which colided with a kangaroo but kinda drove through leaving fresh kangaroo meat cooked on the rocket cover at the service station. but turn a white celica into a red and white 2 tone paint job.

I think Toyota should set a good example and STOP making these large vehicles. They should also bring out a true small pickup similar to the ones we had in the 1980s. Subaru, for instance, should have kept making their Baja. They stopped it just before the gas prices went up. They'll be going up again.
that being said, i dont know how it works in virginia, but out here in utah big 4x4 trucks are a nessecity,so many jobs cant be done here without one.
and of all the half and 3/4 tons (since the new tundra is nearly as tough as a 3/4) the tundra is one of the most efficiant/powerful.
i wouldnt mind a more mild (like the first tundra, but minus the boring mid 90s ford look) truck. but if someone can make these giant work trucks more efficient, toyota can.
PS.... and i say this as a subaru fan
the baja is an ungainly pile that handles like someone did a real bad job streching an outback.
if subaru wants to try again, and put more thought into it. i would love to try one out.
but there is a reason that car only lasted 2 years!
