Scion FT-S/FT-86 Teased Ahead of New York Auto Show Debut [Video]

Scion has just released a short teaser video of its FT-86 derived sports car ahead of its reveal at the New York Auto Show next week.

The rumors appear to be quite true with the teaser showing a shape nearly identical to the FT-86 and the more recent FT-86 II Concept that debuted at the Geneva Auto Show.

Much in need of a youthful injection, the Scion brand appears to have lobbied Toyota into handing over the FT-86 for North American distribution. Believed to be a concept and not an actual production model the Scion will reportedly go by the name FT-S but won't see production until after the Toyota version debuts at the Tokyo Auto Show later this year.

No details about the engine have been released but expect little to change from the Subaru-source boxer engine under the hood of the FT-86.
