Toyota has officially unveiled its new 2013 Land Cruiser (European model shown), celebrating its 60th anniversary since its original launch in Japan and over 50 years of success in North America.
For the revamp, Toyota has given its decorated Land Cruiser a series of new upgrades, including exterior and interior styling enhancements. Along with that, the Land Cruiser now has a ton of new features as standard equipment that used to be options.
The aesthetic changes to the exterior include a new front grille and headlights with HID low-beams. LED daytime running lights were also added in addition to chrome side molding, new side mirrors and taillights. For the interior, Toyota has outfitted the Land Cruiser with perforated leather with ventilated front seats, higher gloss wood grain finish, brighter silver instrument panel ornamentation, chrome-plated air registers and updated meter-cluster lighting.
With seating up to eight, the Land Cruiser has also received some enhancements to make it easier to access the roomy interior. The passenger-side's second-row seat now features a one-touch tumble mechanism for easier third-row ingress and egress.
The Land Cruiser will be powered by a 5.7L V8 DOHC engine with 381-hp and 401 lb-ft of torque with a six-speed automatic transmission. It'll come with 18-inch wheels standard.
