They have plenty of midbass if setup properly. The tweeters are also VERY nice when installed correctly(Off Axis in the A Pillars and crossed over at 3.15hz/-24db slope)
The inexspensive PCE-216 has the same tweeter in the QSD set, and can be had for ~250.
If I had to go with a passive component set, I'd probably get the Alpine Type-X Components, based off the Vifa XT-19 tweeter and XT mids. Very smooth unharsh sound with adequate midbass, not great midbass, but nice.

yeah what he said about the mb quarts they are good if tunned properly too...
type x is nice set to go with nice all around. first what kinda music do u listen too?
how loud do you play it? ok is the solara rag top? or hard top?
