Besides the bumper cover, there is a energy absorbing foam behind the cover
and then reinforcing steel behind the foam. If you are just replacing the
bumper cover, there are a bunch of 10 mm bolts that you can access from
underneath, and probably a few more that you can get from behind the grille.
Remove the bolts and cover, and then reverse the process. If your bumper
cover is the same color as the rest of the car, you will need to have the
replacement bumper cover painted before you install it. Whoever paints the
bumper cover will have to add a rubberizing agent to the paint so that it
will not crack so easily.
