Turn key to on position (do not start car) and hold trip meter button until it goes off. simple as that!
It comes on to remind you of service due. You have a service guide in the back of your owners manual that tells you service due every 5K miles. When the light comes on look in your book and whatever milage you have follow the maint. schedule. The maint req light will blink for 500 miles when u start the car reminding you service is coming up then when its time it will stay solid.
