This is in Lompoc, CA for sale. I saw it just before I moved. Odds are its gone because they only wanted like, 700 bucks. I didnt even know what it was at first! lol.
It had some sort of flames painted onto it at one time then it looks like the whole car was painted over again. I didnt have enough time to get out the details of it. I kinda wish I had because this car is pimp! Anyone know what year it is?
Too bad the pics don't show up for me at work. Filtering....

needs a little work but seems to be in good condition.
that reminds me of thr pristine hardtop version of that model that the mythbusters cut up for one of their 'experiments'.
It looks to be around a 1964 Corona. Did the nameplate on the grill say TOYOPET or something like that? The silver plates about a foot back from the headlights are where stock mirrors were mounted.
The taillights don't match the ones I've been able to find on Corona's that are a few years newer and the grill is close to a match I found on a 64.
I'll have to check the other years, but I still am leaning towards 64. Although the pictures aren't great, look at photos 3 and 4. Also, on the car in question, that mirror is not stock.
I tried to see when they dropped the name Toyopet, but haven't had any success. I know it was used into the 60's and was used for the Land Cruiser, Crown and Corona.
I finally get to see it, yeehaw. Nice find. The important thing is that the chrome and trim isn't rusted or bent. The rest you could probably fix w/o prob. Looks like the bumpers have missing pieces and some bend. Will, did you go back and buy it?

I went from a 1967 Chrysler New Yorker to a Corona so gas mileage was great. Although it has a real small engine, it probably gets about 23 to 25 average - that's just a guess since gas was about $0.40 a gallon when I owned mine, so it wasn't a major concern as long as you were getting over 15 MPG.
It's a slow car, you won't be beating anyone from a dead stop going from a traffic light. What kind of driving are you going to be doing with it?

ah thats alright milege to me. Well, on both of my Tercels I was hard as hell (of course they kept coming back for more). But if I manage to pull this one, I'm gonna treat it like gold. I have an 88 Supra Turbo to tinker on and mess with. The Corona I would take to get professionally painted, and maybe rebuild the engine.
