If anybody should know it would be him. Met him at a T.O.R.C. show a few years back and he was able to pull parts that hadn't seen the light of day.

I did however sample this information from another post just to let you know.

I don't know about a fuel cell. How rotted is it? I believe there is a liner that can be put in there, but not 100% sure. Fuel pump can be purchased online. Do you have the fuel level sending unit?

you might get lucky with a 2nd gen celica gas tank, same basic location and size.

or you could get a tank in good condition and use it to fix your exsisting tank.

but hold up a sec, you got a tank under the trunk or in the trunk?

toyota being toyota i bet they didnt make too many different gas tanks, or they were modified from the same part to fit.

off topic
do you got a close up pic of the hood ornament?

Too bad he wasn't here in Fontana, California. I was at the ecology Foreign car only U-pick-it and there is a Green 1977 Toyota Corona that hasn't had the fuel tank pulled out as of 11:30 AM Sunday. Since the truck was locked and hadn't been jarred open yet, I'm gonna assume that since the filler Neck is still there, that your fuel tank in intact. Problem, how do you ship a used fuel tank?

Looks like someone has to make a road trip. The paperwork for shipping a previously fueled tank requires preparation skills that I have long since forgotten as well as the hazardous label required for shipment. I believe your father should do this for you. Look up the Ecology you pick it in Fontana, California and give them a call. The Only San Luis I found is in Tijuana. Let me look that up again.

San Luis Obispo is in California half way between SF and LA. Fontana is east of LA off Inter-state 10 at the Cherry strret exit left to Sloval Avenue about 1/2 Mile on the left.

if the tank is inside the trunk you "should" be able to use a corolla or celica one. they bolt in the same way.

tho now im wondering how rusty everything else is on that car if the tank in the trunk got rusty...

course it could of just been a lack of a gas cap i guess.
