1975 Corona Mark 2

Hi,
I picked this car up last week for a bargin $650, exterior and interior are pretty good, it runs well, just a few little bits that need fixing, it is missing a badge on the front bonnet (not the grill) and i cant find any pics to work out what it is.
Is a 4 door 6 cyl 2.6 4M Engine

will get some pics up soon.

It looks like my 74 MKII once had some sort of emblem on the front of the hood, too. Never seen any pics to confirm what it was.

I don't believe that model had a hood emblem. I think that is just were the paint is wearing thin along the design lines(high points) in the paint. This is not uncommon on these old toyota's to have paint wear on these ridges.

I did eventually find some pics of 75 and 76 with an emblem, but not on the 74.
The paint wear along the ridges of the entire hood is pretty obvious, from previous owner buffing out the paint oxidation. The marks in the picture are different, with the paint being completely removed, much like the marks left when the door trim strips came off. The outer curves of that shape are not along ridge lines. That is what made me question it.
