78 corona

Hey, I just bought a 21r 78 corona. I am just getting into toyota, getting out of hondas. I just have a few questions about performance parts for the engine, I have read it is an import engine from Japan and hard to get parts for. But I am wanted to get stiffer anti roll bars. And possibly a strut tower bars if they make them or if any other model yota fit on it. Some lowered coilovers front and back. Right now it's cut springs in the front and blocks in the rear. The engine is pretty healthy and has a rebuilt weber carb. Car has some rust but should hopefully come out. And one problem is starting. It's really hard to start. Battery is new, and it seems like the starter.

Those old Coronas are getting extremely rare. Finding parts will be a challenge for sure. Cool old car to save though.

Good luck finding parts for this car, nice as it probably is.

One of the problems is that they went to FWD cars after the Corona, so finding upgrade suspension parts may be difficult. You shouldn't have any problems finding parts for the 20R engine. If you need a started, get a gear reduction type, if it doesn't already have that.
