cool, sounds like you have done your research on HID well too. I know what you are referring to. I've been on HID planet from the start and any aftermarket HID kit (aka) non-German made HID kits = cheap stuff to the ppl of the forum. So I'm used to that philosophy I guess. But ya, you are right, I've seen those motorized bulb function for those kits. But I recall the big companies that make HID bulb kits, Phillips, Osram don't make such motoized bulbs.
But the oem stuff you see here that's on Lexus, Beemer and such and such use bi-xenon projectors to move the solenoid of the shield to expose the bulb for high beam. The Bosch e46 bi-xenon projector is one for example.
