88 and 89 were carb (not sure if EFI was an option) 90-92 were EFI.

The 4afe tank and lines would be fine for a 4age. The tranny would be fine (C50 I believe). The ECU has to be changed. The harness has to be changed.

Is it true that 1990 4dr Corollas in Canada used the 4a-fe? If so, then would a 4dr be a good candidate for the 4a-ge swap? Of course there would be added strut bars and sway bars to prevent as much warping as possible. And also all the aforementioned modifications in response to my previous question.
Thanks in advance.

yes 4dr and SR5s used the 4AFE, btw in Japan 4dr sedans came with 4AGEs

suspension wise, the 4dr should be able to take the 4AGE, I mean its not like you're swapping a 4AGZE or 3SGTE where the suspension would have to be upgraded in order to make up for the extra hp and torque, so even if you don't upgrade sway bars, you could at least upgrade struts, springs and I would suggest to put the strut bar in, and you should be ok.

Yes all parts from an ae92 gts will fit onto an ae92 sedan. Motor, trans, seats, steering wheel, suspension, fuel pump and mayby even the entire front clip. I was going to try that myself but the front would look too long compared to the shorter rear of the sedan. Im almost done my swap and will make a thread about it soon. Untill then.....

and yes its going in for bodywork this coming winter

alright im interested in doing the swap
i went down to the junkyard earlier and picked up the strut bar, as far as the front suspension conversion goes, what will i need from the SR5 to be able to fit the front sway bar in? And the rear has the same setup correct?
