'91 Corolla bucks and chugs
The vehicle is a '91 Corolla 5 speed with 140,000 miles. The vehicle runs great both when the engine is cold and when it is completely warmed up and hot. It's about the time just after the thermostat opens, and when the computer is transitioning from closed to open loop, that during take-off from a stop or right after the shift into second gear that the vehicle will buck and chug for a second or two. During the time when it is bucking, if I floor it, it will smooth out and run OK. Again, after fully warm, it will run perfect, the rest of the day. So far, I have installed new spark plugs, new distributor cap and rotor, new spark plug wires, and have swapped both the TPS and MAP sensors out for known good ones, but the problem continues. Any thoughts on what to try next?
