I've done it in my RX-7, which is a little easier because I put it in a bin behind the passanger seat.

but basically all you need is:
- a battery box secured to your trunk
- short negative ground cable grouding to the body
- long positive cable going to the main fuse box and the starter
- some sort of vent or something if you're going to put a normal battery in it (or you could just put an optima battery or something in that doesn't need one)
- an inline circuit breaker about a foot away from the positive battery terminal (like 150A most car stereo places have them)

I think that might be it... I might be forgetting something though.

it took me a while because I was doing crap loads of other work on the car at the same time. you could probably do it in like 2 hours though if you have all the right parts.

make sure the wires are thick enough too, I think I used like 2 guage.

if you look on summitracing.com they have kits that have the box and the wires for fairly cheap, or you could just get a marine battery box from walmart for like $10 and get the wires from a car stereo place.

let me know if I left anything out :-P

I don't know if it can help...but I want to be help
Here my DIY thread on SG
http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=34705

I still got hesitation problem when I keep reving on the same gear example 70PHM in 3rd gear. Some say I've bad grounding connection....I think it could be more induction from my positive wire passing near other wire and sensor in the kick panel (near the left foot driver side).

What are you opinion on it ???

nice DIY thread.

one thing I've heard is that some cars the ground signal doesn't pass through the body very well, so I have a ground going from the body ground to my transmission/starter where it was grounded before.

the ground you took off has 2 grounding points, so find out where the other one was, and at least ground that to the body if you don't want to run another cable all the way to the trunk.

I would also advise getting a circuit breaker near the batter just in case something bad happens to the really long + battery cable.

other than that it looks good. :-)

Thanks man !!
I was afraid to have to do it...passing the negative cable where it was plugged before.
No more space in my positive route (I think).

4gauge power wire and a marine battery box in the trunk, that's how one of the AE92 guys (Xenon) did it.

My relocation is already made....
I have 18' 1-gauge positive wire routed thru the firewall
I have 1.5' 1-gauge ground wire routed on the frame...

seems like my frame is not enough conductor.....
