Well - I just ripped off everything on my 98 Prizm today from the catalytic converter back and it's laying on my garage floor so I checked stock dimensions. The O.D. of the pipe in and out of the stock converter is 1.91" which I believe is 1 7/8" ID pipe. The pipe leading into the converter is slightly flared out for the overlapping connection.

Everything from the converter back to where the muffler connects is one piece stock. Best price on a bolt on type replacement was Autozone at $180.
