Pulled each and every plug wire, and held it a quarter inch from the block. All had good spark. Timing is TDC. Took out plug #1 and inserted a screwdriver while turning crank till the top of the lobe. Then checked flywheel mark, and made sure the rotor was facing #1 piston. All is in check.

from what i read in the previous posts and all the ideas people came up with, i suggest you bring it to a mechanic you know and/or trust. they can probably diagnose the problem a lot better than a normal person. afterall, most mechanics seen problems we never thought existed. yea, sorry man, but i think bringing it in would be best since you tried everything you could think of.

just to throw an idea out there, are your fuses all ok and not burned out? i actually had a problem where the engine car wouldn't start, but all the electronics worked. however, when i jumpstarted the battery with a mobile car starter/charger, the engine would start. when i turned the ignition off and tried to start it again, same problem happened. so each time i tried to start the car, i had to jumpstart the battery. after a week of this annoying problem, i decided to buy a new battery. the engine started without needing to jumpstart it. but when i was driving on the freeway on my way to see my girlfriend, i noticed that all the lights to my electronics (radio and clock) were getting dimmer and dimmer until you couldn't even see them anymore. however, the motor keep on running, by none of my electronics were showing, so i stopped the car on the shoulder and turned off the ignition. then the engine wouldn't start at all, no matter if i tried to jumpstart OR charge the battery. my mechanic (who is also a trusted family friend) did some prodding and found out that my 60A amp fuse was all burned up and fried. so yea, one small piece affected the entire motor.

I'm not familiar with the 2SE engine and just talk to my friend about your case. He ask me did you check the timing of your distributor (there is a timing mark on the distributor when you pull out the distributor assembly from the engine) ? He told me even though you check the flywheel mark, if the distribution timing is wrong in the distributor the engine will not start and eventually it will got flood with the fuel (since you said the plug get wet with fuel from previous post).

I have not pulled the distributor out and checked the mark. I am going to recheck the fuses for peace of mind. I agree with the mechanic suggestion. I feel that i am fairly competent, and this has me baffled. If neither of these suggestions work, i will see about getting a mechanic involved.

sounds like you could have flooded it. try drying of the spark pluds and cylinders with a propane blow torch(remove plugs put flame in plug hole with face not in front of it. If it fires up after that then dies again you may have a major overfueling problem.

Have you verified timing? Dizzy off by a lot or cam timing off can prevent any starting. I know, i've done it. Oh, someone already suggested that. Anyway, if you're getting good fuel, spark, air, then pretty much timing is only thing left.
