I can't see why a real coil over set wouldn't work, but the spring style will need the ae101 struts as well.

Thanks for the responses. I think I will probably go with the ground control coilovers. I don't need struts as bad as I thought. The banging noise was something else. It helps a lot to crawl under your car before assuming its something else. It's at the muffler shop right now getting probably a new section of pipe welded on and the mount that broke off back where it needs to be. It's killing two birds with one stone...
