Hello Nation!
Santy here after googling for some assistance on my "Clutch" issue and talking to some folk from work I have been given some advice I would like to confirm.
My 90-01 Seca CSX (Carb) looks like this
is nearing the end of it's life with me I plan on chucking it to the scrappers when the rego goes in Jan next year, I don't want to sink much money into it as I am going OS will buy a new car when I get back. (save save SAVE)
Over the last few weeks changing gears has become quite a problem, clutch started going lower and lower, and felt no resistance gears crunched in. And now it wont go into gear unless the vehicle is turn off and started in gear. (I know I am a mean bastard to my car) Gear changes while in motion are difficult but they do work mostly... There is no clutch burning smell or anything and it doesn't slip when I get it in gear, doesn't rev higher than normal)
I have been advised it is probably the master cylinder slave has no oil in it and a kit will probably cost me $300 - $400 fitted to fix the problem. But I have been told the is a resevoir that I can put brake fluid in to temporarily fix the problem perhaps. And am willing to try / keep replacing oil for the occasional trips it needs to do.
My question is where do I put this break oil and is it difficult to get to? Or could this issue be something else does anyone have any recommendations?
I found a picture of the engine bay and wonder if its visible somewhere on that?
Yes I am a total carslexic and would appreciate any help.
Thanks for you time.
