1990 SR5 hose replacement

Hey all, I just picked up a 1990 Sr5 manual as my second car for work. My other is a 2006 le which I perchused brand new. I noticed I have a rip going through what seems to be some kind of a rubber hose connected to the air filter housing. What is the name of this hose and where do I buy one? I havent checked out any junkyards yet. My second question is what kind of Manual transmission oil are you guys using. I am thinking going with a synthetic such as redline MT. Thanks for your help!

Do you mean one of the large (roughly 2 in) hoses that go to the in-flow or out-flow of the air filter housing? Or do you mean some smaller hose?

Don't forget to investigate whether the differential has a separate fluid reservoir than the transmission. On my 4dr AT, it does. I don't know about your SR5 MT.

Yes it is around 2" in diameter and connected to the air filter housing and has 4 grooves.

I think the big hose (at either end) will be a dealer item. It seems to me that places that sell the fancy (alledgedly horsepower increasing) aftermarket air filter housings should sell hose material too. But I've never tried them.

That's the intake hose/tube, try the junkyards for a cheap replacement.

Post pics in case that's not what you're asking about.

Thanx REN69 I think that's the part. I'll go check out my some junkyards for that part.
