1980 Headlight conversion?

Recently bought an 81 and found the 80 front end. I am ready to make the conversion to the quad lights but noticed that the quads have 2 plugs and the old lights only have 1 each. I have been told tht that 1 of the lights on each side of the quads are for high beams. Has anybody done the conversion? How should I go about making them work correctly?

Thanks

On the dual lights iner lights are the low beam and the outer lights are the high beams. I think that you can cut the wire on the dual lights where it makes one wire and put that on your wiring.

iirc, one pair of the quad headlights are for highs and lows. it's the ones closest to the corner lights. the other pair is for highs only. you could splice in the plugs for the high beams to the stock headlight wires.

if you want both lights to operate simultenously, you're going to have to do two relays on each side...
Also you gotta remember, toyotas switch the ground, not the positive. On the H4, theres a common positive and switchable ground.

I just did this relay mod on my AE92.
