'87 AE-82 Corolla Sedan Trunk (Boot) Hinge/Spring replacement
Doe anyone have the secret to replacing hinges and springs on trunk (boot) of an '87 AE-82 Corolla Sedan. The ones on mine are in need of replacement since I purchaased and while I've located replacements, the smash repair guy is scratching his head wondering how to install the parts—apparently there is more to this than meets the eye—the seasoned amongst you will understand. He's asked me to locate a working camry trunk for him to reference—tricky—but perhaps somewhere out in toyota nation someone does have and can steer me to either instructive photographs of an installed set of hinges, brackets, and springs—or the rare a hen's teeth pages from the manual showing how to effect an install—or both? Any help would be hugely appreciated.
