New plans for the Corolla

Well after the pending ticket I got I sat and thought for hours what I was going to do to her.
The 4age engine swap from a ae92 sr5 is out of the question so here's what I have in mind.

Seeing how the bodys not in too bad of shape I'm going to take it to have all the pings and defects taken out and have it repainted.
Then iam going to take the stock wheels I have or buy new stock wheels and have then chrome coated (in the book that came with the car they had an sr5 with them and they look pretty mint.) Then I'm going to take the muffler off and go back to the tiny muffler that comes stock on the cars.

I'm gonna try and keep the outside looking stock.

When that car first came out in 1990 it was selling for $13,000, which is crazy.
I have all the old slips for it so I think I'm gonna put it back to stock exept the interior.

What you guys think?

Sounds good i guess... maybe polish up the old muffler, like not old and rusty. But it sounds like you are doing to be dropping alot of money into this car (chrome + Paint). Are all the mechanical parts in GOOD condition?

AE92

Yea I was thinking of chrome plating the exhaust.

Yea I'm going to do the chrome before the paint.
The paint will come round tax returns.

I'm pretty positve the ae92 sr5s come with the 4age but I could be wrong.

But don't think iam.
It actuley may be that ae92s don't come in sr5s only gts. I'm a little bit too medicated to think

WRONG! the SR5s came with the 4AF/4AFE same as the sedans, the GTS is the only one that came with the 4AGEs.

No! Please don't go back to the pea-shooter pipe, get a 2" or 2.25" pipe. It will not sound obtrusive, but will give a nice deep tone.

My personal expirience with the exhaust is that the cops seem to be attracted to shiny objects. I got a ticket about a year and a half ago for a "hollywood style muffler" after i got home on a whim i painted the chrome muffler flat black with high heat tremclad. Funny enough i have never got hastled whatsoever since!
