corolla wont run!! Help pls!!!!!

OK to start my 1990 corolla gts cranks ok but wont run. its a 1.6l 4age ive changed multiple things still not having luck. to start with on this vehichle ive changed the injectors, the fuel pump the throttle position switch, the egr valve the fuel pressure regulator the plugs and wires, the distributor, the timing belt, all vacuum lines, the fuel filter, the fuel rail, completely cleaned intake manifold(inside) checked sensors, drained old gas and added new, lube and filter.
with that said now for my problem. She cranks ok even sounds like she wants to run from time to time but wont stay running for more then a few seconds. if i hit the gas pedal she dies out. Also if i am spraying starting fluid in through the intake she will run, and sounds really good, open the throttle she revs up and all, Having her running like this enabled me to perfect the timing. so my question is what else could it be? Could it possibly be an issue with the afm? I didn't think so because from what im seeing this looks like a fuel issue. i'm desperate at this point any help you guys can offer id be greatly in your debt

sounds like you're not getting fuel into the engine. is the PCM commanding the injectors? you should be able to see that on a scope or good multimeter. you have spark, so this is a fuel problem.

I dont know much about your car-but if it has a distributor that sets the timing, ie not computer controlled- make sure your timing is set correctly. Incorrect timing can do bad things.
OK I see you said that you have the timing set- but it can still affect the starting if it is not correct. Just a thought from someone who has been there.

I wonder if starter fluid requiress the same compression as gas. It never hurts to do a compression test.

If an injector is firing you can hear them through a length of pipe or a broomstick put up against it.

If your timing light has inductive pickup check that each plug wire is firing.

If the timing belt was off a few teeth then the engine wouldn't work correctly even with correct timing. I suppose if you run ok on starter fluid, the belt is probably in the right place, but did the problem start after the belt change?

Did you check the fuel line from the tank all the way to the fuel rail? Sounds like a line with a pin hole or piece of rust partially obstructing it.
