ok slightly out of the normal, does anyone here play the racing simulation Forza on Xbox?? that's what this question pertains to
which engine would be stock for the AE86 they have on there?? which upgrades have you found give the best performance??
the engine swaps they have available for it are the 3S-GE from the Altezza and the 3S-GTE from the Celica I believe. one thing that struck me odd was the effect turbo/super charging that car with any of those engines. it doesn't effect top speed whatsoever, and barely increases acceleration. what gives???
the first motor on it is stock. If you want turbo go with the 3sgte, if you want n/a the 3sge is the better one to go for, but it will depend on the class you want to go for as well. The ae86 in that game is pretty crappy, a miata is better.
you also can't put the rx7 motor into the one you win. But the stock motor is better in the mazda speed one
My problem with the game is the suspension set up. It's hard to get a "feel" Since you can't actually FEEL the damn car. I don't understand what exactly I want the car to do enough to do it purely by numbers.

I agree, it's confusing as hell at first. I didn't know what I was doing at all. It's a bit of trial and error with the tuning adjustments. Easiest way is to use the 'test drive'. You can make tuning adjustments as you go around the track, without interruptions. Start by making large adjustments to single things exaggerate the effect it would have. Once you start to get the feel of how each aspect effects handling, you can start to picture in your head how you want the car to drive and understand which things to adjust and in which direction. The amount of adjustment is still a guessing game for the most part, just gotta keep driving and testing until you find that sweet spot. Just like real life.
Once you get the hang of tuning the cars, the way you look at the game changes entirely.

yeah I don't play them that often anymore, used to be glued to forza when I was unemployed lol. Some racing games have become so technical... not for kids anymore
yeah it is a crazy fun game, online play is awesome too. I had a AE86 on there with like 503 horsepower lol, when the turbo spooled up it spun the tires until like 4th gear, because of the lightweight
