hahaha, i own an ae86 and an ae102 (94 corolla) yes the motor will swap since they are both A series blocks the difference being in the head. the 4age is a true twin cam as the 7afe (the motor in the 94) is a twin cam with one exterior cam gear and one internal slave cam. since your 4age is a rwd, you will need to take one of the bearings out of the tranny but the housings and all will bolt right in (i do believe you have the T50 transmission on the 4age). if you really want to do that swap tho, i would say switch the blocks when you do it (take the block from the 7afe and put the head from the 4age on it) this basically gives you the true twin cams and more displacement on the bottom end (1.8 rather than 1.6). just make sure you swap ecu's when you do it and check all your wiring

yes the fx-16 is fwd, its a AE82 chassis. the engine is a 4A-GE "bluetop". honestly, i dont think a swap would be worthwhile. you may gain some low end torque, but youll lose some overall power and id be extremely surprised if your car didnt get slower.

but it will bolt in as everyones said. itll use the same mounting points. you would need to modify the 7A-FE harness (the 1.8L is a 7A-FE as previously mentioned).

you could put the 4A-GE head on the 7A-FE bottom end, but its somewhat unreliable depending on what you want from the car. youll gain horsepower and torque, but the bottom end is weaker. the 4A-GE head is designed to deliver high-end power, the 7A-FE bottom end wont stand up to high rpm for long. it takes alot of money to build a 7A-GE to be reliable.

if your looking for a good swap, look in to the 4age "redtop or high comp", 4age 20V's, or the 4agzes.
