Thumbs up 4af in a 88FX

Hey there, new to the forum, looks good.

I have everything ready to go for a 4ac to 4af conversion in my 88 base level Corolla FX. Mechanically I am good, new starter, new clutch, carb rebuild, yada yada yada.

Couple questions:
For now, I'm just working on the whole getting it running thing. As it looks I will have to move the wires for the starter and for the fan switch in the water outlet. Am I correct here?

Are there any problems I should look for in the wiring of the car? It seems that (seems, I haven't started cutting wires yet) pretty much every critical sensor has a similiar wiring circuit between the 4ac and 4af engines.

Long run plans for the car are to join the Rally America circuit and beat the hell out of it. The car is structurally sound, and it looks like fun. I am not emissions controlled and the catalytic converter is already gone.

Any help, questions, suggestions greatly appreciated.

?

Anyone? Related experiences, not necessarily the same cars can help as well.

So in other words, bump.

That's not really a common swap, mostly everyone goes with the 4AGE swap even with these cars.

check out club4ag's tech section to see what info is available there.

Thanks

No, I know this isn't real common swap. Got an engine and tranny with 89K on it for $250. Considering mine had 270k and had no compression on three cylinders, I couldn't really pass it up. Easier than rebuilding (and cheaper when you factor in that I am driving my old ford truck until it is running) you know.

Thanks for the response.
