The Return of the Toyota AE86

Came across this article today, with some shots of the redesigned AE86 concept car. Looking good, Toyota, looking good...

It kinda reminds me of the Yaris, but with a much more aggressive look, and the rear end is reminiscent of the last gen Celica rear end.

Concept Car Specs:
  1. Under 4m long and 1.75m wide.
  2. Measuring at 1.35m tall.
  3. Engineers were instructed to keep the weight below 1,000 kg
  4. Will be powered by 120 hp, 1.5L 2NZ-FE engine.
  5. Cheap RWD drivetrain will be provided by Toyota’s new partner, Fuji Heavy Industries or better known as Subaru.
  6. The price will be at 1.5 million Yen but if it reach Malaysia I believe the price will be triple or quadruple.

Old news. I will believe it when I see. I think history will repeat itself and Datsun now Nissan will steal their thunder once again with a reborn 240Z. Toyota just does not know how to build a sports car to compete, so they let them die.

Ain't gonna happen. Just like the rest of the BS AE86 drawings.

You're getting your hopes for nothing. I'll believe it when I see an actual concept car built.
