Aftermarket radiators

Hey everyone

I have a 1986 Corolla CS-X Seca, its an AE82 series but apparently has a 4ALC engine.

Just wondering if anyone has heard about aftermarket radiators some people I have spoken to said that there are some available that have two cores rather than just one and operator better in hotter environments (im from Australia most of the summer is around 40 degrees celsisus (approaching 120 farenheit at some times)

If anyone has used one it would be good to know how well they worked as well as my one has finally called it quits and no longer addequately cools.

Thanks

welcome to tn.

i'll have a look at what radiator was available here when the ae82 was released here since i'm from the tropical region as well.

it's entirely possible to adapt a radiator from another vehicle for use in your car as well. hth.

AE86

I have a Koyo radiator. It's aluminum, dual row and cooled w/ 2 10' electric fans. I'm here in vegas, so its a necessary setup for this weather:

Just to answer my first question for everyone - I called a radiator place in Newcastle a few weeks back asking about the dual cores.

Apparently the dual core radiators for corollas are cheap and nasty - the flow through them is meant to be more limited then the single cores.

Thats just what I was told though - but it was good to get an answer from someone who 'should' know
