Where is the neutral safety switch located on the mid 70's corolla's with an automatic tranny ? I removed the shifter and nothing is there .
is it located in another spot ?.
I have a feeling it went out because the back up lights quit working and also the starter does not do anything .any help will be appreciated

Not up on this car but there might be a switch located behind the shift arm on the transmission. Back up lights typically have another switch screwed into the trans housing or it may be included with the other switch. If more then one issue might be a wiring problem.
