Need some info from the guru's

I just kinda want a side project. Kind of a hobby to mess with on the weekends for maybe the next 6-8 months. Does this look as if it would be a good idea? I don't know an extreme amount about engines. That's partially why I wanna try and build one from the ground up, with some friends of mine that know a lot more than I do.

AE86

If you want to go for it, at least its not a good engine that you could screw up, for learning purposes it looks good.
