ae86 differential ?

I have an ae86 corrola that is starting to have some problems with the differential. Im not much of one to work on toyota's, i mainly work on vws. But from what i have heard this model corolla is a good base car to modify. My main question is what options do i have for a stronger diff or do the stock ones hold up well to added power. The car is currently an automatic and i want to convert to manual but i dont know what year and models came with the parts that i would need to do these conversions.

but using a old supra rear is not a bolt up job. This is when you get into the Custom area.
its pretty much endless of choice you can do.

This pretty much look like a Custom project car. There are many ones like the Ford 8.8 sold axle, supra of the MRK2, etc.
