Where's the fuel filter on a 1984 Corolla sr5?

Anyone know?

Also... Does anyone know if a dirty fuel filter could cause a really rough idle at low rpm?

that has the 4ac engine right? my old corolla would begin to not run at all when the filter got dirty. its a little plastic cylinder usually white with an inlet and an outlet in sort of a V shape at the top of it. on my car (sedan) it was near the master cylinder. the filters are fairly cheap too. they just kind of slide into a little clip, easy to do.

I don't believe I had a rough idle in my car when my filter was clogged, though it would stall out while driving, which was a little worse haha.

As far as for the filter, it's back toward the firewall usually right behind the air filter on the carb.
Here's another sr5 with the fuel filter visible. Here its up at an angle, in a yellowish plastic color with two black hoses coming in and out of it by the firewall.

If you'd like I can grab some actual pictures of where mine is located on my stock SR5 sometime tomorrow.
