Australia AE82 Owner from Australia

Hey there. I haven't been on here lately - try about a year - but I've just aquired an AE82 Corolla Sedan from a family member, and have some ideas for it as I wan't to make it into a really nice car.

Anyways, for starters the seats need to be ripped out and replaced - if I cannot get stock seats for it again, how hard is it to install aftermarket seats onto the stock rails? I hope it isn't too hard as I would really like bucket seats as I am pretty tall - 6ft 8" in the old scale, so I am a bit cramped at the moment.

Other things I will be replacing will be the steering wheel, and more importantly the seat belts, as they've seen better days. The car's done nearly 300,000 clicks, but the engine's still pumping along strongly - these old rollas just don't die do they!

It's a boring silver colour atm, but I am starting to make the car in 3D, so I muck around with different ideas. Hope to have something that inspires you all here with the same model of car. Anyways, an answer to the questions and a G'Day would be nice from you lot . I hope to enjoy this place a bit more now.

well, installing seats wouldnt be too bad, as long as you have a welder and a couple fab skills. pretty simple overall though.

since your in AUS, you could probably get a twincam steering wheel fairly easily, and that'd definately make a nice upgrade (i want one badly, but everyone over there seems to be paranoid about shipping...).

got any plans for the drivetrain? im guessing it has a 4a-lc?
