Motorcycle Powered AE86
Has anybody installed any motorcycle engines in a AE86. I've seen a Starlet
on Youtube with one not too long ago. I know a lot of the Lotus 7 guys and
DSR racers love putting them into their cars.
I know the American camp loves to stick to the conventional 4ag engines
and throw in a S2K motor in occasion.
I'm looking to install one for my next project.
A Hayabusa kicks out 170hp. and has plenty of after market support.
My shopping list.
1.Hayabusa motor (car kit on ebay for about 2200)
2.Modified drive shaft.
3. Quife reverser box (If I want to go into reverse) 2000
4.Motorcycle battery.
5. Smaller radiator.
6. Yolk to attach the driveshaft to motor ( Caterham or other Lotus 7 variences should carry one.)
7 Linkage to shifter
I'll be updating the list gradually. Please feel free to comment if there are
any other things that should be added.
The biggest part of the project would be chuckin all the fat from the car
to make things nice and light.
